    High-order accurate and stable explicit methods are powerful in solving differential equations efficiently. In this work, we propose a systematic framework to trade off accuracy for stability, especially the unconditional preservation of strong stability, positivity, range boundedness and contractivity. The whole algorithm consists of three steps: (1) Introducing a stabilizing term in the continuous system; (2) Integrating the system using an explicit exponential method; (3) Substituting the exponential functions with suitable approximations. We first show that a class of first- and second-order exponential time difference Runge-Kutta schemes are capable to preserve structures unconditionally when suitable stabilization parameter is chosen. Then by adopting the integrating factor approach with high-order Runge-Kutta and multi-step schemes as underlying schemes, three different approximation techniques are developed to make high-order schemes unconditionally structure-preserving, i.e., (1) a Taylor polynomial approximation; (2) a recursive approximation; (3) an approximation using combinations of exponential and linear functions. The proposed parametric schemes can be deployed to stiff problems straightforwardly by treating the stiff linear term as an integrating factor. The resulting time integration methods retain the explicitness and convergence orders of underlying time-marching schemes, yet with unconditional preservation of structures. The proposed framework using the second and third approximations has relatively mild requirement on underlying schemes, i.e., all coefficients are non-negative. Thus the parametric Runge-Kutta schemes can reach up to the fourth-order, and there is no order barrier in parametric multi-step schemes. The only free parameter--the stablization parameter in the framework can be determined a priori based on the forward Euler conditions. Unlike implicit methods, the parametric methodology allows for solving nonlinear problems stably and explicitly. As an alternative to conditionally structure-preserving methods, the proposed schemes are promising for the efficient computation of stiff and nonlinear problems. Numerical tests on benchmark problems with different stiffness are carried out to assess the performance of parametric methods.

Inside solids, the governing equation of acoustic wave propagation consists of coupled heat conduction equation and thermoelastic dynamic equation due to the temperature effect and elastic deformation of medium acoustic parameters, which makes it very difficult to solve numerically. The bidirectional coupling is decoupled into sequential coupling according to the different characteristic time advances of the two equations. Omitting the influence of strain displacement on the heat conduction equation, we first solve the heat conduction equation, and then the thermoelastic wave equation is solved by taking the temperature field as an additional thermal load to obtain the strain displacement field of the structure. The heat conduction equation is solved by the classical finite difference method. We investigate the application of finite difference method to thermoelastic wave equation. Because the hyperbolic equation has high demand for stability of the algorithm, the ordinary explicit and implicit difference methods cannot achieve ideal effect. We apply the principle of numerical viscosity correction and the five points CDD8 format to finite difference method in the elastic wave equation. The program is coded in FORTRAN. The numerical results show that the accuracy and efficiency are satisfactory.

    Let $G$ be a connected graph. Gao et al. first introduced the invariant of $G$: $\Delta M(G)=M_{o}(G)-irr(G)$, and raised a problem: how to determine the extremal graphs among all connected graphs of order $n$ with respect to $\Delta M(G)$, where $M_{o}(G)$ and $irr(G)$ stand for the Mostar index and irregularity of $G$, respectively. In this paper, we characterize the upper bounds of $\Delta M(G)$ over all unicyclic graphs and bicyclic graphs with diameter 3, and determine the extremal graphs.

The linear convergence of the algorithm is established under the assumption that the objective functions are smooth and strongly convex. Numerical experiments show that the new algorithm is more effective than the Lissa and SSN.

    Given $m$ uniform machines and $n$ jobs, let the speed of the $j$th machine be $s_{j}$, the processing time of the $i$th job be $p_ {i}$, which involves that the load on the $j$th machine is $\frac{p_i}{s_j}$. Construct a weighted undirected graph $\hat{G} = (V, E; W) $, where the $n$ vertices of the graph represent the $n$ jobs and the vertex weight represents the processing time of the corresponding job. This paper studies the uniform machine scheduling problem under some vertex cover constraints, which is a combinatorial problem of two combinatorial optimization problems. The goal is to firstly determine a vertex cover of the graph $\hat{G}$, that is, a vertex subset of the graph, such that the subset contains at least one endpoint of each edge and then to minimize the makespan when all the jobs corresponding to the subset are put to process on the $m$ uniform machines. The problem is NP-hard. We design a $(2+{(m-1)\cdot s_m\over \sum_{j=1}^m s_j})$- approximate algorithm based on the layering algorithm and the LSPT algorithm for it, and it is realized that the approximation ratio is relatively good when the speeds of all machines are not much different.

    Traditional ARMA residual control charts are often sensitive to outliers, which easily leads to failures in monitoring. In order to solve this problem, this article uses the idea of robust statistics to revise the traditional ARMA residual control charts, and constructs a robust ARMA residual control chart algorithm to overcome the influence of outliers on the model. From the simulation and empirical results, it is known that when there are no outliers in the data, the monitoring results obtained by the traditional and robust ARMA residual control charts are basically the same; when there are outliers in the data, compared to the traditional ARMA residual control charts the robust ARMA residual control charts can more effectively resist the influence of outliers, and have better anti-interference and high tolerance.

    This paper presents a new particle dynamic system based on the C-S model, studies the sufficient condition of flocking in finite time, and analyzes the factors of convergence time. We show that when the initial values of the agents’ position satisfy some specific conditions, finite-time flocking occurs. Furthermore, the convergence time can be estimated by the agents’ number, that is, there is a power-law relationship between them. When the number of the agents is large, the convergence time will decrease.

    This paper summarizes the recent progress on the limiting behavior of multiscale stochastic systems with irregular coefficients, focuses on presenting the averaging principle, the normal deviation and the diffusion approximation, in particular, the Smoluchowski-Kramers approximations for the classical stochastic Langevin equation driven by Brownian noise and the Langevin equation driven by L\'evy noise. Unlike the classical equation driven by Brownian noise, there is no noise induced drift in the limit equation of the Langevin euqation driven by L\'evy noise even if the friction is state dependent.

    In this paper a SIR model for the parallel propagation of two new coronaviruses with time delay is studied. Firstly, the existence and uniqueness of the global positive solution of the system is proved. Secondly, the sufficient conditions for persistence and extinction of the new coronavirus and the variant new coronavirus are obtained by constructing a appropriate Lyapunov function. Finally, the relevant conclusions are verified by numerical simulations.

    For improving the application performance of Logistic regression models on classification problems, this paper develops a double adaptive elastic net by combining the adaptive Lasso and adaptive Ridge. The double adaptive elastic net has both the oracle property and the adaptive grouping effect, which ensures that it can effectively estimate parameters and accurately select important variables under certain assumed premises and consequently, makes the established Logistic regression model simple and precise. Simulation and case analysis show that the double adaptive elastic net is suitable for medium or high correlation cases with adaptive grouping effect, and its performance of improving Logistic regression is equal to or better than that of the elastic net and other partial improvement methods.

Firstly, a nonparametric test is constructed for testing whether the drift function of a integrated diffusion process is of a known parametric form with unknown parameters. Secondly, a test statistic for goodness-of-fit test is obtained by applying the empirical likelihood technique. And finally, the asymptotic distribution of the test statistic is established, and then the proposed test method is applied to an example to verify its effectiveness.

    In the resource scheduling network, the availability of resource scheduling is equivalent to the existence of the fractional factor in the corresponding network graph. The study on the existence of fractional factors in specific graph structure can help engineers design and  construct the network with efficient use of resources. A graph $G$ is called an all fractional $(g,f,n',m)$-critical deleted graph if after removing any $n'$ vertices from $G$ the remaining graph is still an all fractional $(g,f,m)$-deleted graph. In this paper, we present two binding number conditions for a graph to be an all fractional $(g,f,n',m)$-critical deleted graph, and illustrate the results are sharp with examples.

In this paper, firstly, we give the minimum value of exponential inverse forgotten index of a tree and determine its corresponding extremal graph. Then, we investigate the maximum value of the exponential inverse forgotten index and describe the structural characteristics of the extremal graph.

    In this paper, a gradient projection optimization method is applied to solve a class of stochastic optimal control problems. The Monte Carlo method is a common method to deal with stochastic optimal control problems, but it has a notoriously slow convergence rate. We choose the Quasi-Monte Carlo method with faster convergence.  In order to make the random sampling dimensions and time discrete points independent, we use the Karhunen-Lo${\grave{\rm e}}$ve truncation for the Brown motion. Sobol sequences of  the Quasi-Monte Carlo method are used for sampling. The error of numerical approximation is presented, and the effectiveness of the method is verified by numerical experiments.

    The filtered Krylov-like sequence method, which integrates the standard Krylov subspace method with the polynomial filtering technique, is efficient for computing several extreme eigenvalues of symmetric matrices. In this paper, we generalize this method to compute eigenvalues with largest real parts and corresponding eigenvectors of non-symmetric matrices. The filtered Krylov-like sequence method can be expected to show great superiority and robustness over the standard Krylov subspace methods. Numerical experiments are carried out to show competitiveness of the new method.

    This paper investigates enterprises' decision of the location, pricing and entry timing with asymmetric investment costs in a circular city. Using the option game theory, we construct the dynamic game model of duopoly enterprises with horizontal product differentiation in the circular market, analyze the existing sequential equilibrium and preemptive investment equilibrium, and depict the sub-game perfect equilibrium of the dynamic game under the Stackelberg Equilibrium. The study shows that the profit of enterprises increase with the increase of product differentiation; the enterprise with cost advantage always enters the market as a leader; when the cost asymmetry of two enterprises is less than the critical value, the leader's entry timing is controlled by the threat of preemption, and the leader's profits brought by cost advantage will be damaged; the entry timing of the follower is not affected by the degree of cost asymmetry.

    This paper studies the Cauchy problem for a class of double damped $\sigma$-evolution equations with different power nonlinearities. The $(L^{m}\cap L^{2})-L^{2}$ estimates of solution to the corresponding linear problem is established by using the Fourier transform, and then the influence of the exponential of the nonlinear term on the existence of the global solution is studied by employing the global iterative method in the case of small initial value.     In this paper, for an odd prime $p$, some $p$-element three-weight linear codes are constructed by defining set, and the complete weight enumerators of those codes are determined by using Weil sums over the finite field $\mathbb{F}_p$. Furthermore, it is proved that those codes are minimal under certain conditions, and thus suitable for secret sharing schemes.

    Especially, a class of those codes with parameters $[p^2-1,3,p^2-p-1]$ are obtained, which are optimal with respect to the Griesmer bound. Our results can be regarded as improvements to some results of Jian et al. in [1].

    The conjugate gradient method is one of the most effective methods for solving large-scale unconstrained optimization problems due to its simple structure and low storage capacity. In this paper, using the famous PRP and HS methods and their modified versions, a modified PRP-HS hybrid conjugate gradient method is proposed. The conjugate parameter generated by the proposed method is always nonnegative, and the proposed method can generate descent directions independent of any line search at every iteration. Under general assumptions the global convergence of the proposed method is obtained by using the weak Wolfe line search to calculate step-lengths. A large number of numerical tests and comparisons show that the new method is effective.or the proposed method and its comparisons are executed, and the numerical results show that the new method is effective.

    In this paper, we consider the stability and Hopf bifurcation of a class of epidemic models with stage structure and fear effect. Firstly, the long-time behavior of population number under certain conditions is analyzed. Then the local stability of the equilibrium point is discussed by using the linear stability theory, and the influence of the degree of fear on the numbers of the susceptible young population, the susceptible adult population and the infected adult population is investigated when the positive equilibrium point is stable. Finally, the conditions for the existence of Hopf bifurcation are given by using the bifurcation theory, and the feasibility of the conclusion is verified by numerical simulation.

    Since it is troublesome for conventional machine learning methods to extract the main features relevant to the uncertainties and variations of electrical load, in this paper, a recently proposed hidden Markov model based online learning algorithm is used to solve the load forecasting problems, extracting the uncertainties and variations from the load data. By combining with the decomposition algorithm, the variation features can be estimated more precisely and forecasting accuracy can be improved. Based on the hidden Markov model, the proposed algorithm is updated once new samples are received, thus adapting to real-time data; the STL algorithm is implemented to decompose the load data, leading to the separation of components with different trends. The online learning algorithm is then applied to each component of data, composing the hybrid load forecasting algorithm. Validated by three public datasets, it is shown that the proposed algorithm can improve the forecasting accuracy and reduce the relative error up to $27\%$ when compared with the existing technique.

    In this paper a parallel machine scheduling problem with tool changes, where the tool change durations are workload-dependent, is considered. The objective is to minimize the makespan. Firstly, based on the fact that the maintenance duration function is a monotone undiminished function, two properties of the optimal scheduling scheme are obtained: the difference between the numbers of job processed by each machine is at most one, and each machine in its last maintenance interval should process as many jobs as possible. Secondly, for each case that the maintenance duration function is concave, convex, or linear, a corresponding optimal optimal algorithm MNJF, SFF or SLE is presented respectively. Finally, it is proved that the algorithms MNJF, SJF and SLE are all optimal in the corresponding cases, and the algorithm MNJF is also optimal when the maintenance duration function is linear.

    Concering the extremely long queues that customers often encounter during the airport security check process, this paper studies the optimization of the airport security check process. Firstly, the airport security check process is divided into four stages: identity verification, preparation for machine scanning, machine scanning, and manual scanning, and is modeled as a multi-stage queuing system $M/M/s$. Then with the data provided in Question D of ICM 2017 empirical analysis is performed and the model is futher optimized from the perspective of queue size and queuing mechanism. The results of empirical analysis show that when $s$ is equal to 3, the average waiting time of customers in the system is reduced significantly, and the system reliability is improved significantly; In addition, the multi-angle sensitivity analysis shows that the model has good robustness.
